Don’t throw those plastic bags in the trash. Recycle them or donate them to an individual or organization for upcycling.
What happens when those bags go out with the trash?
- In a landfill, they can take up to 1000 years to degrade.
- As litter, they breakdown into tiny bits, contaminating our soil and water.
- In the ocean, they cause death to hundreds of thousands of marine life that mistake them for food.

Check out freecycle.org where you can sign up for local freecycle groups, view what other members are offering or give away your own unwanted items. One person’s trash can truly be another’s treasure!

This trivet was crocheted using curled tarn. Tarn is yarn that is made from cutting t-shirts into strips for crafting.
