Update – 8/27/09 – I finally finished the main part of the afghan. It is gorgeous and so comfy! Now all that’s left is adding the fringe. Will post pics & pattern soon.
7/27/09 – I recently started working on an afghan for my hubby. Long story short… I purchased this yarn about 4 years ago, made an afghan for him then decided I wasn’t happy with how it turned out, so… I took it apart and rolled the yarn up in balls. I have started many afghans over the years, nothing that I really liked, so I would just take them apart and start over. I love the colors of this yarn and it’s so soft & fluffy.
I found the cutest idea for ornaments. This is a fun craft project to involve the kids in! This project you do not bend the spoon. If you’re looking for instructions for that one see “Painted Spoon Ornaments #2″. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Spoons (teaspoon size)
- craft paint (colors of your choice)
- Craft wire (red or green)
- jingle bells (one for each spoon)
- Decorative ribbon
1. Take colored wire and wrap around the handle securely being sure to make a loop at the top to hang it.
